HOMESCHOOLING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN SEMINAR JULY 16
This seminar will be presented by Diane Hurst, a local homeschooling mom who has homeschooled nine children over the past 25 years. She will present ideas for activities with toddlers and preschoolers, and ways to fit these into your homeschool when you have older children you are teaching. This will be a very visual seminar, with lots of actual materials there to see.
Whether you are just starting to homeschool and all of your children are young, or are homeschooling a range of different ages, this seminar will give you ideas and inspiration for things to do with very young scholars. Seating is limited to 35 people, so register early! This seminar is sponsored by Vancouver Community Homeschooler, and there will be a $5 fee. "UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES" HIGH SCHOOL WORLDVIEW COURSE
Note: Please register soon as this course is limited to the first 20 students! Class begins August 27.

This 36-week comprehensive introductory worldview course explores the tenets of the Christian worldview and how it compares with the tenets of other leading worldviews of our day: Islam, Secular Humanism, Marxism, New Age, and Postmodernism. Some of the issues covered include: abortion, apologetics, the arts, biotechnology, critical thinking, cults, euthanasia, leadership, radical environmentalism, radical feminism, the problem of evil, religious pluralism, scriptural reliability, and more. Class Structure: (1) the UTT curriculum, (2) formal and informal debate plus regular conversations of the topic, and (3) memorizing the book of Ephesians. Undergirding these pieces are the themes of love and humility. College credit is available for this class. Parents: are welcome and encouraged to observe classes.
